Staff Development Specialist (Trainer)

Description:Join a leader in the industry as a key member of the HR team! As a Staff Development Specialist you will be responsible for the design and delivery of operational, compliance and sales training to our staff.

Duties:� Developes, coordinates, schedules and delivers training for branch positions (i.e., Tellers, Member Service Representatives, Financial Services Representatives)
� Coordinates training times and facilities
� Instructs and re-instructs employees with soft, technical and/or supervisory skills training
� Prepares needs analyses and training plan annually based on data analysis including scorecard results.
� Creates an inventory of training delivery methods and tools, such as PowerPoint presentations, websites, etc.
� Implements, monitors and revises the lesson plans to meet the needs of internal customers
� Prepares and reports statistical training data to the management team
� Develops and updates the training manuals for all topics
� Researches and presents topics at departmental and management meetings
� Researches vendors and external programs
� Evaluates instruction programs and courses and reviews findings with departmental managers, including attendance reports and content mastery
� Conducts new hire orientation meetings
� Tracks training requirements and records
� Accomplishes the credit union�s mission by completing relevant duties as needed when requested by management or other staff members
Qualifications:Essential Qualifications:
�Advanced knowledge of professional development curriculum methodologies
�Knowledge of sales, technical, supervisory and leadership training techniques
�Knowledge of training record requirements and retention schedules
�Demonstrated presentation delivery skills
�Demonstrated computer and software skills
�Demonstrated skill with using and analyzing data with spreadsheet software
�Ability to speak in front of large groups of people
�Ability to handle multiple deadlines
�Ability to tolerate various learning abilities
�Ability to express oneself clearly and articulately both orally and in writing
�Skill with independent problem-solving
�Ability to exercise tact and responsibility with handling confidential information
�Ability to work with general supervision of daily activities

Qualified candidates will have a minimum of three years of staff development, organizational development or related training experience AND at least three years of sales training with demonstrated results.

Travel is required throughout Suffolk County 50% of the time. Flexible scheduling including early mornings and occasional late nights or weekends is required.
